<p>&#8220;Someday, I&#8217;m going to make a difference.&#8221;</p>
<p>A life full of regrets is paved on a path littered with somedays.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s it going to take to turn someday into today?</p>
<p>Someone dying?</p>
<p>Your health going downhill?</p>
<p>Your kids growing up?</p>
<p>Why wait?</p>
<p>You&#8217;re not promised tomorrow!</p>
<p>You have this moment- where your past and your future collide.</p>
<p>Replace the word someday with the the words, &#8220;Beginning today&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>And take the next step to advance that someday list forward.</p>
<p><em>You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life?  <span style="font-style: normal;"><em>For</em><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="line-height: 4px;"><em> </em></span></span><em> you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. </em>- James 4:14</span></em></p>
<p>Now&#8217;s the time!</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s the day!</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t waste your life!</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve got a story to live!</p>
<p>Go live it!</p>

This is the beginning.  <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%202:1-3;&amp;version=47;">All was as it should be</a>.</p>

Something had gone terribly wrong.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px;">Sin entered the story through the <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:1;&amp;version=47;">deception of the evil one</a> and the <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:2-7;&amp;version=47;">rebellion of humanity</a>. Creation had <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:13;&amp;version=47;">fallen</a>, <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:23-24;&amp;version=47;">paradise was lost</a>, and separation came between humanity’s <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:8-9;&amp;version=47;">relationship with God</a> and <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:7;&amp;version=47;">each other</a>. Life was broken and <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:9-13;&amp;version=47;">nothing was as it should be</a>.</p>

Although still bearing the <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%201:27;&amp;version=47;">image of God</a>, all of humanity would now live in a fallen state of sin <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%2010:26-27;&amp;version=47;">unable to rescue ourselves</a>.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px;">In the midst of this horrific event, hope and restoration is promised by God as <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:15;&amp;version=47;">He reveals the climax of His story</a>. <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%209:6;&amp;version=47;">God would become a man</a> with a mission <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2012:47;&amp;version=47;">to rescue his beloved creation</a> and <a style="color: #666666; text-decoration: none; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%2016:20;&amp;version=47;">crush the evil serpent</a>. <p>Christopher Columbus is often credited with discovering North America.  The only problem was, it was already inhabited with Native Americans who had made the discovery long before he did.  In fact, he wasn&#8217;t even the first European to land in North America. Leif Ericson had done so about 500 years before him.</p>
<p>What Columbus did was stumble into a discovery of this discovered land, spread the story across Europe, and the rest is history.</p>
<p>Like Columbus, I made a discovery of something that was always there several years ago. Others had seen it before me but for some reason, I never saw it. When I did, I felt as if I found new land when really my eyes were opened to an already settled land.</p>
<p>What did I uncover?</p>
<p>The grand narrative of the Scriptures.</p>
<p>I had viewed the bible as information and at best, a collection of stories.  That&#8217;s true, but it&#8217;s so much more than that. It&#8217;s all about Jesus. In fact, it&#8217;s these words from John 5:39-40 that led me to look at the common thread throughout the bible, &#8220;You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Scriptures are a narrative of <a href="http://projectchurch.net/what-we-believe/">God&#8217;s epic story</a> and it all points to Jesus as the hero of the Story and the plot is his passionate pursuit of his people. This is the heart of the gospel.</p>
<p>This has radically shifted my studying and <a href="http://thejesussessions.org">teaching of the bible</a>.  Seeing how particular passages fit into the meta-narrative found in the scriptures has opened my eyes to things I had never seen before.  I had been careful to quote verses in context but had neglected the context of the greater story that verses and passages are embedded in.  Not to mention the context of the story of my life.</p>
<p>This has helped me better connect the Old Testament with the New Testament.  It has opened my eyes to see Jesus in places I never expected in both the scriptures and in culture. It has shaped how I view the church in light of God&#8217;s great pursuit of his people.  It has also helped me to gain perspective of my story and how I fit into the greater story.</p>
<p>Since this shift, I&#8217;ve sought to write, teach, and preach by storying the scriptures.  I&#8217;m learning that stories work better at penetrating the heart and mind than mere information alone. Storying is our way of packaging information so that others can grab hold of its meaning.  When our quest for truth treks through the frontier of our imagination it produces compelling stories.</p>
<p>Within each of us is a longing for a story.  This is why we search and explore and why we tell others about our discoveries. History is full of amazing storyers and is how history has been passed along from generation to generation. This is why we consume books, films, and television.  This why we have conversations over food and drinks.  This is why we even ask others, &#8220;How are you doing?&#8221;  That&#8217;s nothing more than a launchpad for a story (or in most cases, an odd way of saying, &#8220;hello.&#8221;)</p>
<p>Whimsical writer and thinker G.K. Chesterton wrote, &#8220;I had always felt life first as a story: and if there is a story there is a Story-teller.&#8221; I agree. Every tale has an author. Every story-casserole is baked in the oven of someone&#8217;s imagination. And God is the source of all stories.</p>
<p>His epic story is found in the Scriptures and the epic story he&#8217;s called us to live out is wrapped up in His.</p>
<p>This is my great re/discovery and it has awakened my soul, opened my eyes, and changed how I look at life.</p>
<p>I pray it will do the same for you.</p>

<p>Recently, I wrote a story that I told to <a href="http://projectchurch.net">our church</a>.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a simple love story that represents something more profound than my mere words can describe. A tale of pursuit between a Savior and his bride. The beautiful, dangerous, and central message of Jesus.</p>
<p>The gospel.</p>
<p>The gospel literally means, &#8220;the good news&#8221; yet the term has been stained by the dung of religious bigots, the lies of nutty televangelists, and the hypocrisy of everyday followers of Jesus like me.</p>
<p>You see, I don&#8217;t fully believe the gospel.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I believe in the life, crucifixion, resurrection, and reign of Jesus. That he died on the cross, in my place, for my sins. But I struggle to believe in the wonder of grace. The truth that sets us free. The hope that keeps us going. The love that knows no bounds.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t wrap my head around the fact that Christ loves me so much that he gave up his life so I might have life.</p>
<p>But I&#8217;m learning.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m learning that I can never experience how amazing grace is unless I realize how spectacular my sins are. While I&#8217;m a great sinner, the good news is, Christ is a greater Savior.</p>
<p>In him, we have a God who loves us enough to enter our story to rescue and redeem us from the mess we&#8217;re living in. A God who says, &#8220;Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.&#8221; (Isaiah 1:18).</p>
<p>Religion omits the &#8220;white as snow&#8221; part but not the gospel. And the gospel is so much better than religion.</p>
<p>I hope this story helps you uncover the magnificent scandal that is the gospel.</p>

<p>This epic is revealed within the grand narrative of Scripture in a <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/versions/index.php?action=getVersionInfo&amp;vid=47&amp;lang=2#books">collection of 66 books known as the Bible</a>. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20peter%201:20-21;&amp;version=47;">Inspired by God yet written by human hands</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Timothy%203:16-17;&amp;version=47;">the infallible words of Scripture are God-breathed</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2010:35;&amp;version=47;">without error</a>, and are the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=%20Isaiah%2040:8&amp;version=47">supreme</a> and<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Timothy%203:16-17;&amp;version=47;"> final authority for life and faith</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2090:1-2;&amp;version=47;">In eternity, this story was formed</a>.  <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%20102:25-27;&amp;version=47;">It begins with the Author</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%2044:24&amp;version=47">Creator of all things</a>- the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=deut%206:4;&amp;version=47;">one</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=jer%2010:10;&amp;version=47;">true</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=acts%2017:26-27;&amp;version=47;">sovereign</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=is%206:1-7;&amp;version=47;">God</a>. He is altogether <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mark%2010:18;&amp;version=47;">good</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20sam%202:2;&amp;version=47;">holy</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=deut%2032:4;&amp;version=47;">just</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%2016:27;&amp;version=47;">wise</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=jer%2032:17;&amp;version=47;">powerful</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20john%204:8;&amp;version=47;">loving</a>.</p>
<p>In love, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=prov%2030:5;&amp;version=47;">the Author</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%201;&amp;version=47;">created a world of wonder</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ecc%203:11;&amp;version=47;">beauty</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%201:31;&amp;version=47;">harmony </a>for his <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=eph%202:10;&amp;version=47;">masterpiece creation</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%202:4-24;&amp;version=47;">humanity</a>. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%201:27;&amp;version=47;">Created in His image</a>, human beings <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%202:16;&amp;version=47;">walked in relationship with the Creator</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%201:28-31%20;&amp;version=47;">enjoyed the paradise of His creation</a>. This is the beginning.  <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%202:1-3;&amp;version=47;">All was as it should be</a>.</p>
<p>Then the story<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203;&amp;version=47;"> took a dramatic turn</a>. Something had gone terribly wrong.</p>
<p>Sin entered the story through the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:1;&amp;version=47;">deception of an evil serpent</a> and the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:2-7;&amp;version=47;">rebellion of humanity</a>. Creation had <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:13;&amp;version=47;">fallen</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:23-24;&amp;version=47;">paradise was lost</a>, and separation came between humanity’s <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:8-9;&amp;version=47;">relationship with God</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:7;&amp;version=47;">each othe</a>r. Life was broken and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:9-13;&amp;version=47;">nothing was as it should be</a>. In the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:6;&amp;version=47;">darkest moment in human history</a>, sin bled into the story resulting in <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:7;&amp;version=47;">shame</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:16-19;&amp;version=47;">suffering</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:16;&amp;version=47;">pain</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:12;&amp;version=47;">distrust</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%204:13-14;&amp;version=47;">despair</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:4-5;&amp;version=47;">pride</a>. Although still bearing the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%201:27;&amp;version=47;">image of God</a>, all of humanity would now live in a fallen state of sin <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%2010:26-27;&amp;version=47;">unable to rescue ourselves</a>.</p>
<p>In the midst of this horrific event, hope and restoration is promised by God as <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%203:15;&amp;version=47;">He reveals the climax of His story</a>. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%209:6;&amp;version=47;">God would become a man</a> with a mission <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2012:47;&amp;version=47;">to rescue his beloved creation</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%2016:20;&amp;version=47;">crush the evil serpent</a>. God would <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deut.%2018:22;&amp;version=47;">write clues</a> of <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=is%207:14;&amp;version=47;">His arrival</a> into the story through various <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=is40:3;&amp;version=47;">messengers</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ex%2020:%201-17;&amp;version=47;">laws</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy%2016:1-8;&amp;version=47;">events</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm%2072;&amp;version=47;">promises</a>. All of which would be <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%205:17-18;&amp;version=47;">fulfilled</a> through the hero of God’s epic- <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+5:39">Jesus Christ</a>.</p>
<p>Jesus entered human history <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke%201:26-38;&amp;version=47;">miraculously</a> as he was <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%201:20-23;&amp;version=47;">conceived by the Spirit of God and born to a virgin mother</a>. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Titus%202.13&amp;version=47;">Fully God</a> yet <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%202:17;%204:15;&amp;version=47;">fully human</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%2010:26-27;&amp;version=47;">he did what humanity could not do</a>. Jesus lived a <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20john%203:5;&amp;version=47;">perfect</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20peter%202:22;&amp;version=31;">sinless life</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mark%2012:28-31;&amp;version=47;">teaching us to love God and others as ourselves</a>. But it was his exclusive claim to <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=john%2014:6;&amp;version=47;">being the only way to God</a>, as well as <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2010:22-42;&amp;version=47;">his claim of being God</a>, that led to his <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2026:47-56;&amp;version=47;">arrest</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mark%2015:16-20;&amp;version=47;">torture</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2019:17-24;&amp;version=47;">execution</a> on a <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2019:17-18;&amp;version=47;">Roman cross</a>.</p>
<p>He would <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+5:8">show his great love for us</a> through his <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2010:17-18;&amp;version=47;">willful</a> yet excruciating <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2023:44-46;&amp;version=47;">sacrifice on the cross</a>.  There is <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2015:13;&amp;version=47;">no greater love</a>.</p>
<p>It is on the cross <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter%202:24">where the hero redeemed and rescued his beloved creation</a>.<br />
It is on the cross <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%205:21;&amp;version=47;">where the hero became our sin, enduring the just wrath of God</a>.<br />
It is on the cross <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians%203:13;&amp;version=47;">where the hero became our substitute</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians%202:13-14;&amp;version=47;">paid the penalty for our sins</a>.<br />
It is on the cross <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ro.%205:1-2;&amp;version=47;">where those who believe in him have right standing before God</a>.<br />
It is on the cross <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20John%201:7;&amp;version=47;">where we are cleansed from the curse of sin- past, present, and future</a>.<br />
It is on the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=john%2019:30;&amp;version=47;">finished work of the cross</a> where <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter%202:24">Jesus died for us so that we might live for him</a>.</p>
<p>But the story doesn’t end there…<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2024:1-12;&amp;version=47;">He came back</a>!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20cor%2015:3-4;&amp;version=47;">Three days after being buried in a tomb</a>, he <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mat%2028:5-6;&amp;version=47;">rose from death</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Heb%202:14;&amp;version=47;">defeating hell</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2015:56-57;&amp;version=47;">conquering sin</a>, and crushing the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2015:55&amp;version=47">sting of death</a>. He <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2024:36-49;&amp;version=47;">appeared</a> to <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2015:6;&amp;version=47;">hundreds of witnesses</a> and then <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2024:50-53;&amp;version=47;">physically ascended</a> into Heaven and is presently seated at the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=67&amp;chapter=3&amp;verse=21&amp;end_verse=22&amp;version=47&amp;context=context">right hand of God the Father</a>.  <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%204:11-12;&amp;version=47;">Salvation is only found by God’s saving grace in the person and work of Jesus Christ</a>.  <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%202:8-9;&amp;version=47;">God’s grace is not earned</a>, it is <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%203:23-24;&amp;version=47;">freely given to all who truly believe</a>. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=52&amp;chapter=10&amp;verse=8&amp;end_verse=10&amp;version=47&amp;context=context">Those who believe</a> will spend <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=50&amp;chapter=10&amp;verse=27&amp;end_verse=29&amp;version=47&amp;context=context">a life and eternity in relationship with Him</a>. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2010:25-26;&amp;version=47;">Those who don’t</a>, get exactly what they want, a <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Thessalonians%201:9;&amp;version=47;">life and eternity apart from a relationship with God</a>.</p>
<p>The story continues to be <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=23&amp;chapter=51&amp;verse=10&amp;end_verse=12&amp;version=47&amp;context=context">written through the person and work of the Holy Spirit</a>. The Spirit of God was <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2015:26;&amp;version=47;">promised by Jesus</a> to <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2016:13;&amp;version=47;">supernaturally guide our stories</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%208:9;&amp;version=47;">work in the hearts of humanity</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2016:14;&amp;version=47;">draw us near to Jesus</a>. The Spirit <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=%201%20Corinthians%203:16;&amp;version=47;">resides within us</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke%2012:12;&amp;version=47;">works to teach</a> and<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%208:27;&amp;version=47;"> transform us</a>,  <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%208:26&amp;version=47">help us when we are in need</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2016:8%E2%80%9311;&amp;version=47;">convict us of our sin</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%201:13-14;&amp;version=47;">secure our salvation</a>, and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=galations%205:22-23;&amp;version=47;">empower us</a> with <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2012:11;&amp;version=47;">spiritual gifts</a> to <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=acts%201:8;&amp;version=47;">advance the Kingdom of God on earth today</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke%2019:10;&amp;version=47;">The mission of Jesus was, and is, crystal clear: to seek and save that which was lost</a>.  And that’s exactly <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2010:16;&amp;version=47;">what He did…and what He’s doing</a>.</p>
<p>Through the Church, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians%201:18&amp;version=47">followers of Jesus</a> are <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%2012:3%E2%80%938;&amp;version=47;">united as one body</a> made up of <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=52&amp;chapter=16&amp;verse=16&amp;version=47&amp;context=verse">various</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=51&amp;chapter=16&amp;verse=5&amp;version=47&amp;context=verse">expressions</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=53&amp;chapter=16&amp;verse=19&amp;version=47&amp;context=verse">of church</a>.  <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%2014:27;&amp;version=47;">They gather</a> in <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=acts%202:42-47;&amp;version=47;">prayer, worship, teaching, community, and service</a> with <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%2018:8;&amp;version=47;">baptism</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2011:23%E2%80%9326;&amp;version=47;">the Lord’s supper</a> being visible expression of the gospel story. <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2028:18-20;&amp;version=47;">The mission of the Church</a> is to be a <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2016:18-19;&amp;version=47;">worldwide movement</a> that <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%201:14-15;&amp;version=47;">advances the Kingdom of God</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=54&amp;chapter=6&amp;verse=1&amp;end_verse=3&amp;version=47&amp;context=context">proclaims the story of God’s amazing grace</a>, the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20cor%2015:1-4;&amp;version=47;">gospel of Jesus Christ</a>, to the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=51&amp;chapter=13&amp;verse=47&amp;version=47&amp;context=verse">ends of the earth</a>- starting in our <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%2014:%2023;&amp;version=47;">local communities</a>.</p>
<p>Today, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%2012:1-2;&amp;version=47;">Jesus Christ reigns supreme</a> as <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=rev%2019:16&amp;version=47">King of kings and Lord of lords</a>. This epic will end when the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2019:11-16;&amp;version=47;">King returns to earth in all his power and glory</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2014:3;&amp;version=47;">to gather</a> <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%203:20;&amp;version=47;">his people</a>, <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Timothy%204:1&amp;version=47">judge the living and the dead</a>, and usher in a <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2021:1-8%20;&amp;version=47;">new Creation, a new Paradise, a new Kingdom</a>, where we will <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2022:1-5%20;&amp;version=47;">worship</a> and <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2016.11&amp;version=47;">enjoy Him forever</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2022:13;&amp;version=47;">In the end, Jesus wins</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=%20Isaiah%2040:8&amp;version=47">This is God’s story</a>.</p>
<p>This is what we believe.</p>
